What is Risk Management?

Risk can be managed using many different interventions; this is most effective when it is informed by thorough risk assessment. Some examples of risk management activities include: risk communication with the public; distribution of drugs or vaccines; or modification/decontamination of the environment. The results of risk management activities are themselves useful for further risk analysis.
