Summary of available dose response models
From QMRAwiki
Basic characteristics of available dose response models are summarized here, sorted by pathogen. Each entry links to a page with more detailed information, including model fit, confidence intervals, and references.
The 'k or N50' column gives k if the model is exponential, or N50 if the model is beta-Poisson. Alpha is only applicable if the model is beta-Poisson. 'RD50' is the dose required for 50% of the hosts to suffer the response (like ID50 or LD50).
Pathogen | Host | Route | Dose units | Response | Best model | Poor fit? | k or N50 | alpha | RD50 | Data source | Model source |

rotavirus | human | oral | FFU | infection | beta-Poisson | 6.17 | 0.25 | 6.17 | Ward 1986 | Haas 1993 & 1999 | |
Giardia | human | oral | cysts | infection | exponential | 0.01991 | 34.8 | Rendtorff 1954 |
